Matt has been a big fan of Big Grove Brewery for some time; their taproom in Iowa City is a regular stop when we travel to Iowa to visit family. When we learned they were coming to Wisconsin, we knew we had to to be part of their launch.   

Join us Wednesday, January 14 from 4-8pm and meet folks from the brewery, win some giveaways, and check out these outstanding beers we will be pouring:

🥇Easy Eddy - Hazy IPA

Juicy tropical flavors of pineapple and mango are complemented by a round body and soft bitterness. This gold medal-winning double dry hopped hazy IPA is infinitely drinkable and relentlessly flavorful.

Get your mussel fix at our first monthly mussel mania of 2026, January 15-18. PEI mussels, frites and Madison Sourdough baguette to soak up all the yummy classic broth of white wine, butter, garlic and shallot.  But don’t dilly dally - when they’re gone, they’re gone.

♥️♠️♦️♣️ Calling all Cribbage lovers - it's time for our first cribbage tournament of 2026! This event always brings out the fun and friendly competition in everyone.

🗓️ January 25, 2026

🕚 Doors open at 11:00am and play begins at 11:30 pm

📍 Longtable Beer Cafe

☎️ To sign up, stop in or call Longtable during open hours at 608-841-2337. There will be a $10 entry fee per player on tournament day.

The kitchen will be offering a limited menu including Frites, Pretzels, Cheese Curds, Burgers and Sandwiches from our current menu, and we will have full beer and wine service. Plenty of N/A options as well.

The format will be a 6-game tournament of 2-handed Cribbage, where you play six games and have a new randomly-drawn opponent for each game.

Assuming we have at least twenty players, prize minimums will be:

🥇First place – $100 Longtable gift card

🥈Second place – $60 Longtable gift card

🥈Third place – $30 Longtable gift card

🏆Last place – $10 Longtable gift card

Standard cribbage rules apply to all games with 'No Mugging' of points. Scoring will be 2 points for a win, 3 points for a skunk, 0 points for a loss. Pegs won by will be kept for any tiebreakers needed. After all 6 games, the top point winners will be determined and prizes given out.
